Cheers

And now its time to say goodbye to all our company...

Dan just yelled out, "This sucks! I don't want to leave!" as he crawled into his bunk for the last time. I think he speaks for all of us. This trip has exceeded all of my expectations, and I am reluctant to return to my real life... but all good things must come to an end.

We all just sat around the computer and watched the episode we created here. Steve has spent the entire day working on it, and I must say, I'm pretty proud of it. Be sure to be back here on the website on Wed to check it out. And let us know what you think.

Last Day in London

So.....after the amazing "footie" match we saw yesterday, which is a contender for best part of the trip (I totally threw down like Elijah in Green Street Hooligans) we woke up this morning for an English Breakfast. I totally thought I was gonna skip the beans but they ended up being the best part!

Then we saw the Patrick Marber (he wrote the play the badass movie "Closer" was based on) play "Dealers Choice." I am happy to say I've seen theatre in London, however, unhappy to report it wasn't very good...

Wes was right!

We had real English breakfast this morning and is was delicious!

Honestly, the best sausage I have ever eaten, tons of toast, eggs... and, I am not usually one for beans at breakfast time, but beans! And these beans were great!

We had been trying to be frugal all trip, eating our hotel's complimentary continental breakfast (read: weak). But this being our last day, we splurged at Wes' urging. So glad we did!

And now... the time has come...

Well everyone my trip to London is coming to an end. I'm sitting here in my top bunk watching "Street Wars" you know "Cops" in London. It's been an amazing trip... beyond amazing, RAD! The fans here in the UK have been nothing but hospitible and I've had a crazy time.

Here are some pics from the days "Football" match.

Now I'm off to sleep so I can get up soon and head back to the states... boohoo.

Cheers,
Alex

Charleton! Go Reds!

With our buddies Wide Awake Wesley from the forums and Peter Mitton (the bloke who generously donated our airfare), we took in a football match today. Knowing the European zeal for football, we had high hopes for the experience, and I must say, we were not disappointed. We had a blast!

Oxford Rocks-ford

Here we are with Will on a sleepy little cobblestone road in Oxford.

And some higher education for the TRS guys!

An Oxford man

What a wonderful day. Special thanks to Will Harris for showing us around his hood, and making this beautiful English day the highlight of my trip. I really think I could move to Oxford and be very happy. It was magnificent. A gorgeous mix of the new and old, wrapped in a culture of education. There are times I wish I could go back and redo my college years. What an experience it would be to be in this place, living and learning. I am so glad we got a chance to venture outside the big city for a day and see something different. And to be guided around by a local is the best.

The Smartest Day of Our Lives...

We just got back from Oxford, like in "Oxford University." It was amazing; utterly amazing.

It's hard to describe the place and not be trite. I will say we sat in a pub that had been around since the 1700's and it felt like we were in disneyland-- except this was the REAL thing, this was it-- IT!

On our way to Oxford!

Since we're re-defining "Rad" we figured we'd go to the home of the OED and drive home the point. Luckily our buddy from channelflip.com, Will Harris, was nice enough to bring us 'round. We were riding on the bus, telling Will about this blog, and we thought - why not blog THIS VERY MOMENT. Photobooth to the rescue!

Jack the Ripper and Smog

Danny T's crazy London facts from the Jack the Ripper tour...

1. Smog is a combination of SMOKE and FOG...was I the only one who had NO idea! It makes so much sense! all my life I had not the full meaning of a word used to describe the city I currently reside in...

2. London may make up 2% of the world's population, but it also makes up 20% of the worlds securtiy cameras! There is constantly mention of "cctv.' Very interesting...
